Summary: We collect your contact and address information to check internet availability and connect you with a specialist. We share it only with the services needed to provide that. We never sell your data.

1. Who We Are

Check Fiber Now ("we," "us," or "our") operates checkfibernow.com and related web properties. We are an independent internet advisory service — not an internet service provider (ISP) or ISP affiliate. We help residential customers compare internet options at their address and connect them with a specialist to find the best plan.

For privacy inquiries, contact us at: Fibershark8@gmail.com

2. What Information We Collect

When you use our service, we collect:

  • Contact information: Full name, phone number, email address
  • Address information: Street address, city, state, ZIP code
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type and version (User-Agent), referring URL, pages visited on our site, date and time of visit
  • Consent records: Timestamp, exact consent language you agreed to, and checkbox state — required for TCPA compliance
  • Marketing attribution: UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, content) from the URL when you arrive at our site
  • Internet availability results: The results of provider availability checks for your address

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Check internet provider availability at your address
  • Connect you with an advisor specialist who will call to confirm availability and present options
  • Send follow-up communications (calls and/or text messages) regarding your inquiry
  • Improve our service and website experience
  • Fulfill legal obligations (e.g., maintaining TCPA consent records)
  • Analyze aggregate, de-identified usage patterns to understand how people find our service

4. TCPA Disclosure

Important: By submitting our form, you agree to receive calls and texts at the number provided, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message or asking us to stop during a call.

We maintain immutable records of all consent given through our forms, including: the exact consent language displayed, timestamp, IP address, and checkbox state. These records are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by TCPA statute of limitations.

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We share your information only as necessary to provide our service:

  • GoHighLevel (GHL) — CRM platform: We send your contact information and availability results to our customer relationship management system to manage follow-up and advisor scheduling.
  • Twilio — Communication platform: We use Twilio to send SMS messages and make phone calls. Twilio processes your phone number for this purpose.
  • Meta (Facebook) — Ad optimization: We share hashed (anonymized) contact data with Meta through their Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This data is one-way hashed and cannot be used to identify you from Meta's side.
  • Google — Address autocomplete: If you use the address autocomplete feature, your typed address is sent to Google Maps API. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Internet service providers — Availability checking: To check availability at your address, we query ISP systems with your address. This is address-only — no name, phone, or email is shared.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with data brokers.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following tracking technologies:

  • Meta Pixel (ID: 803313839177920): Browser-based pixel for ad conversion tracking. Records when someone visits our site or submits a form. Governed by Meta's Data Policy.
  • Session cookies: Used to maintain your session state while using our site. No persistent tracking cookies.
  • UTM parameters: We read URL parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, etc.) to understand where visitors come from. These are stored in our database.

You can opt out of Meta Pixel tracking at facebook.com/settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for the following periods:

  • Lead data (name, phone, email, address, availability results): 2 years from date of submission
  • Consent logs (TCPA consent records): 5 years minimum — required by law
  • Call recordings (if applicable): 1 year
  • Server logs (IP address, access logs): 90 days
  • Availability cache data (provider availability results): 30 days

After these periods, data is deleted or anonymized. Consent records are never deleted, even after other data is removed.

8. Your Rights (CCPA — California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know: You can request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information. Note: TCPA consent logs cannot be deleted as they are legally required records.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information. This right is not applicable.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

To exercise these rights, submit a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) by emailing Fibershark8@gmail.com with the subject line "CCPA Data Request."

9. GDPR (European Union Visitors)

Our service is directed at US residents. If you are visiting from the European Union or European Economic Area, please note:

  • Our legal basis for processing your data is consent (provided via our form checkbox) and legitimate interest (providing the service you requested).
  • You have rights to access, rectify, erase, and port your data. Contact us at Fibershark8@gmail.com.
  • We do not have an EU establishment. Cross-border data transfer to the US applies.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our service is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at Fibershark8@gmail.com.

11. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit (TLS)
  • Database-level security with restricted access
  • All passwords and tokens are hashed — never stored in plain text
  • Server access restricted to authorized personnel

No system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your information, contact us immediately.

12. Contact Us / Data Subject Access Request

For any privacy questions, data requests, or to exercise your rights:

  • Email: Fibershark8@gmail.com
  • Subject line for data requests: "Privacy Request — [your name]"
  • Response time: We respond within 30 days (45 days for complex requests)

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and version number at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Significant changes will be noted prominently. Your existing consent records are unaffected by policy updates — they record the version in effect at the time you consented.
